  A report released by the Labor Department Friday shows 125000 job losses in the US on average in June; most of the losses were reportedly a result of temporary workers, who were hired by the federal government for census purposes. 83000 private-sector jobs were added in June, a low figure for economists who fear a continued slowing of the economic recovery. Analysts predicted that 110000 private-sector jobs would be added last month to keep up with the 15 million Americans currently searching for employment. Private-sector jobs have experienced growth in each consecutive month of 2010, the New York Times reports, adding that 130000 to 150000 jobs need to be added to the labor pool per month to keep up with the amount of new workers joining the employment market. A separate economic report shows the unemployment rate dropped .2% in June to 9.5%. Just two weeks ago, Vice President Joe Biden emphasized job creation from the $787 billion stimulus package from February 2009, dubbing it "Recovery Summer."
